A wedding is not the time that two people make a lifelong commitment to each other; rather it is when they declare that commitment to their friends and family, and through them, to the world.

The ceremony may be tailored entirely to the wants, needs and circumstances of the couple. While there is conventional language--indeed, many might not think it a real wedding without certain protocols--no particular words are legal requisites. All that is necessary is that both declare their intention to be married. What form that takes is up to them.

I am available to solemnize weddings in the Northampton, Massachusetts, area. My fee is the statutory fee of $100 for weddings in Northampton, and $150 in other towns (additional charge for rehearsal.).

I welcome same-sex couples.
